In 2009 I saw the TED Talks documentary, and immediately read every Malcolm Gladwell book. I continue to gain so much information, that I can actually apply to everyday life from these amazing videos many of which are in my Netflix queue “My List”.
I go back to these when I’m making tough decision, or just need a little boost to get back on track. Well I needed one right now. I just watched the TED Talk,
Amy Cuddy: Your body language shapes who you are, again.
I’m straightening my posture, and going to do my 1983 Wonder Woman pose.
Then for a little comfort and laugh I watched my favorite
Ze Frank: My Web Playroom, for some laugh and comfort.
- At 2:22 you hear from Ray, “I’m about to whip somebody’s ass..”
- At 12:38 “This is a song that I sing when I’m scared of something… and I don’t know why but it helps me get over it…At least I don’t suck at life,”
- At 14:52 “ Hey, you’re ok. You’ll be fine. Just breathe. ”
Now I’m smiling. I feel as happy as the day I introduced my brood to wearing pjs & hats to the movie theater. It really should be a trend! I’m back on track seeing everything I have at the present, and am ready for bed! Thanks Amy Cuddy, Ze Frank, and TED Talks. Stuck in my head a chorus of “…You’ll be fine. Just breathe…”
